Monster strawberries |
There are monster strawberries, and then there are mutant strawberries. This one came from a pack in the supermarket.

Conjoined triplet strawberry. Cute, huh? I've seen (and eaten!) twin strawberries which look like molar teeth and other oddly shaped strawberries, but it's the first time I've come across one this this. Check out the back:

Poor strawberry got a little bit squashed being so huge in the plastic container it came in. And look, if you look closely you can see the tuft of leaves growing out between two "triplets."

Both MerlinFan and Scimitar were eager to eat this deviant of nature, but were "forbidden" by a wise one (not me).
The rational behind that? "You don't want to turn into a mutant or have mutant offspring in the future, do you?"
I rest my case.
Haha. I like that wise advice. Sounds very you tho :p
