Tutti Frutti at QV

Shop 1-034 Level 1, Urban Market QV, 210 Lonsdale St, Melbourne
Date visited: 23rd February 2013

We've been to the Tutti Frutti at Melbourne Central, so today we thought we'd visit the one at QV.  The concept is the same, as you can see by the signage below.

There are about 70 rotating flavours - the ones on offer today were Chocolate, TF Tart, Grape, Lemon, Taro and Green Tea.

MerlinFan had the Lemon and Grape fro-yo with honey macadamia nuts, lychee popping bobba and coconut jelly (left) and I had the TF (Tutti Frutti) Tart and Chocolate fro-yo (right) with oreo, peanut buttercups, mango and mango popping bobba.

The grape fro-yo really reminded us of grape jelly we had as children, and the lemon like that in lemon meringue pie.  MerlinFan loved the honey macadamia pieces.

I think combining the chocolate with the tart was a great idea - sweet and chocolatey with the tanginess of the tart fro-yo to break up that richness.  It was great with the oreos and peanut buttercups.  I had to admit, though, the mango tasted odd - had a strange unnatural aftertaste that I couldn't quite explain.

Love the fro-yo.  Just will keep in mind not to have the mango pieces next time.
